Fittly Joined Together

Do you ever get in touch with a part of your body that is not part of the routine. I don't know, let's say actually putting a finger between your toes? It is part of you, so there is nothing untoward about it, but at the same time it is not a contact that feels regular. It draws mutual attention.

Just had that experience with a member of the body of Christ who I do not see with any regularity, but who I have logged enough time with that we both know that we are clearly parts of the same body. We were not uncomfortable catching up, because we knew we could trust Christ to keep us. Without Him, there would have been too much time and distance. We would have had to be wiling to invest much energy into reestablishing relationship.

It was not deep. It was not life changing. It WAS under grace, smooth, workable without being work. I love grace. Like he said, nothing big going on...but grace on every little thing.

Thanks for teaching us about grace, Dad.
