Norms and Variances From Them

We find safety or a sense of security in our routine, normative situation. Probably modal, really. In situation X, you can find me in position X with behavior X. The first and second time I was in situation X, I tried X and X and found them at least acceptable. As a result, I now have a fallback position for something that is likely to arise, so now I do not have to decide. I just go to default.

What if the best response to X now is Y? What if the worst response to X is X? Tough.

It reminds me of when I used to pre-plan conversations. Boy! did that ever work well.

There is room now to make decisions when they are needed. Why? Because you can not kill a dead man. Besides, the old canned answer started to get stale immediately.

The one element of NOW that really makes it work is the splendor and suspense of waiting on the Spirit for the answer. I do not know what He will say, but He is the sponsor of the outcome anyway. When I follow the Spirit, I am on the path. Vulnerable, and able to let God be God.

So I wait on the Lord. I listen for His leading. Naked (without my self-made shield).
Thank you, Father.

Nothing like a great worship song.

Give me love
Give me love
Give me peace on earth
Give me light
Give me life
Keep me free from birth
Give me hope
Help me cope, with this heavy load
Trying to, touch and reach you with,
heart and soul

OM M M M M M M M M M M M M M
M M M My Lord . . .

PLEASE take hold of my hand, that
I might understand you

Won't you please
Oh won't you

Give me love
Give me love
Give me peace on earth
Give me light
Give me life
Keep me free from birth
Give me hope
Help me cope, with this heavy load
Trying to, touch and reach you with,
heart and soul

OM M M M M M M M M M M M M M
M M M My Lord . . .

Won't you please
Oh won't you

Give me love
Give me love
Give me peace on earth
Give me light
Give me life
Keep me free from birth
Give me hope
Help me cope, with this heavy load
Trying to, touch and reach you with,
heart and soul
Give me love
Give me love
Give me peace on earth
Give me light
Give me life
Keep me, Keep me free from birth
Give me hope
Help me cope, with this heavy load
Trying to, touch and reach you with,
heart and soul

OM M M M M M M M M M M M M M
M M M My Lord . . .

This is the second day that my blog reader has a subscription to a prayer wall. http://www.24-7prayer.com/wailingwall/
Normally my prayer is lead by Spirit whispers. This new opportunity to be aware of the heart cries of brothers and sisters is very different. Normally I have a name and no details. With the wall I often have some details, and rarely a name.

I am looking forward to seeing what kinds of new responses this brings from me, and what kind of new tools it calls for.

The really awe inspiring aspect is that everyone posting prayer on the wall really means it. They have both a desire for an answer and enough belief in prayer that they are taking the time to put their hearts on the wall.

I do not know what their expectations are of others here reading, agreeing, interceding. In most cases it looks like they don't really expect us, they just expect God...which is really cool, and most likely the part that really matters.

Father, help me to love these petitioners, and to know how to agree with each one.

It is good in here. All of the answers are with God. Bring your questions. Sit in the presence of Love. Every answer is right here.

Better yet, here is not needing an answer anymore. I do not need to ask what Father will do with Dennis. Here it is perfectly clear that Father loves Dennis. Here it is clear that the answer to every question about Dennis is Love.

Father, I am so grateful that you love Dennis the way you do, that you love him perfectly. Thank you that you have good plans for Dennis. Most, thank you that you are teaching me to trust you and your plans. Please do not let me distract you.
