When I read about human events, when I watch people live in public, when I look at what humanity produces and displays with pride, the only answer I find is love. Everywhere I look in the world, I see where law was proposed, without dependable love.

What I am wondering about is how much the law without love, and a long Western history of law without love and with lots of non-love trappings, is getting in the way of Love.

And then I think, My God, what can get in the way of Love. Maybe I have been making the excuse that all of that stuff is there. Nothing can resist Love.

Father, forgive me for the times I have withheld Love because I thought Love would not prevail against religion. Help me to receive Love and give Love away.
