I want to sleep. I want to run and hide and escape.
My enemy pursues me. I want to find a refuge. Ahead of me I see a high rock jutting from the desert floor. Its crown is in the clouds. On top it is moist and lush. Down here it is dry and barren.
I can not reach the top of the rock myself. But at least, at this point, I am focused on the top of the rock, and no longer on the enemy that is pursuing me. For the moment, that is almost as good as being upon the rock.
When I look back I see the enemy, but knowing that the rock is for me and I am for the rock, that the rock has no place for my enemy, and the enemy despises the rock...
Right now, do I have my place on the rock, or only the promise of it? Am I in a resting place in the moisture and green, or am I trusting that I will find my place there when it is time?
I have tasted and seen, now. I have loved with the moisture of that place. I could I if I was not moist with being up there. Father, you said that I am seated in heavenly places.
You have put the reality of the rock in me. I have prayed that your kingdom would come and that your will would be done here and now. That is your prayer that you wanted me to pray, and I have done so.
Father, I am expecting your love to overflow me. I am expecting your love to overflow everyone of your vessels. I am expecting your kingdom to come and your will to be done, here and now. I am expecting lives that you put your church in contact with to love will know and be supernaturally transformed by that love. Help us to be salt and light.wwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Looks like I found rest on the rock.
